Atlantic Tractor unveiled its 2024 optimization plans for its northwestern most territory on January 11, 2024. After careful consideration and in alignment with our long-term strategic vision, the decision has been made to consolidate our Mercersburg, PA location into other nearby Atlantic Tractor branches. Additionally, Atlantic Tractor will focus on enhancing its service capabilities in Chambersburg, PA, and Hagerstown, MD, to further elevate our commitment to the agricultural, residential, governmental and construction communities. Mercersburg’s last day of operation will be January 31, 2024.

“While the closure of Mercersburg was a very difficult choice to make, we want to assure our customers that this decision will not compromise our commitment to uninterrupted parts, sales and service through the neighboring locations of Chambersburg, PA and Hagerstown, MD,” CEO Mel Goldsmith stated. "We will continue to support our valued customers in the region with wholegoods and aftermarket support. All team members will seamlessly transition to nearby locations, ensuring uninterrupted business. Our enhanced aftermarket support, including Parts OnSite, online ordering, overnight parts transfers, and mobile service options, will further bolster a smooth transition for our Mercersburg customers.”

To bolster our commitment to our customers in the region, Atlantic Tractor of Chambersburg will also undergo a number of service facility enhancements in 2024 to better meet the evolving needs of the extensive communities we serve. This combined with the already modern and up to date facility in Hagerstown with provide a seamless shift, resulting in a better experience for our customers.

Additional, Atlantic Tractor has committed to a new service facility and remodeling of our Pocomoke City, Maryland location. This project will begin second quarter of 2024 and will include a new 60’x100’ detached shop, which will include four bays and an office. Renovations will also be done to the current building as part of this project. Expected completion date is the summer of 2025.

“Investing back into our locations allows us to service our customers in a more modern, safe and up to date facility, ultimately resulting in a better customer experience and an improved work environment for our dedicated team of employees. A new service facility in Pocomoke will allow us to grow our aftermarket support, all while still providing an exceptional customer service experience for our customers,” CEO Mel Goldsmith stated.
